The most flattering form of flattery

The painting Girl With The Pearl Earring by Vermeer is one of my favorites in the whole wide world. I love it generally for its simplistic beauty. Thus the attempt at drawing myself something extremely similar, though not an exact copy. It wouldn't feel right to sign it if I did. I think it is nearly impossible to replicate exactly such a masterful work anyway, even for those who are well-trained. And I'm not trained at all. I just like doing things on my own.

Just so you know, my favorite painter is Raphael, with his countless Madonna paintings. I dream of visiting the Louvre everyday, and staring at all the magical paintings. At least in there, staring is not rude at all.
